Purple Cornflower
Purple cornflower (Echinacea) is a native plant of North America and has multiple species around the world.
They are beautiful flowering plants and are also used for medicinal purposes. These plant species are heat and drought tolerance and frost resistant.

Cornflowers bloom in months of summer and attract beautiful butterflies, bees and birds. They grow easily in particle shade in well-drained soil.

Evening Primrose
Evening Primroses are known for their beauty and have large, goblet-like flowers that grow with four petals and have yellow, white, or pink color.
Their leaves form a circle in the base of the stem at ground level and spiral up to the flowering stems.
Many species of flowers are open in the evening (may take a minute), hence named “evening primrose“.

Most species have yellow flowers, but few species have white, purple, pink, or red. Most native desert species are white.
A species of western North America called “Oenothera caespitosa”, produces white flowers that turn pink with age.
One of the most typical features of the flower is the stigma, which has four branches in an X shape.

Daylilies
Daylilies (Hemerocallis) are so easy to thrive that you often see them in ditches and fields.
They grow 24-36 inches in height and spread 24-36 inches wide in 3-8 zones with full sun. Despite the name, Daylilies are not actual lilies, their flowers might look similar to lilies.

But they are way more different from lilies. They have over 50,000 hybrid cultivars different in colors, shapes, and flower sizes.
This perennial plant makes gardening exciting as there are many cultivars that you can explore. Daylilies produce many buds that bloom throughout the summer and grow nearly 1-3 inches wide.
Salvias
Salvias belong to the mint family with nearly 1000 species of shrubs, herbaceous perennials, and annuals. They grow 18-24 inches in height and spread 12-18 inches wide in 5-9 zones.

Salvias bloom for many months and attract beautiful butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. You should definitely grow them in your garden.
Globe Thistle
Globe Thistle (Echinops ritro) belongs to the Aster family with nearly 120 species of which only a few are cultivars. The plant’s large spikes bloom in early spring and last up to 8 weeks.
They grow flowers up to 4-5 feet in height with a stem and spread 2-4 inches wide in 3-8 zones.

They are long-lasting and a good companion of hardy habits with minimal care.
Globe thistle has deep dark blue petals set in a sparky frame and leaves are dark green with slightly silver underneath and slightly hairy. Growing Globe thistle from a clump can give fast flowers.
Dianthus
Dianthus belongs to the Caryophyllaceae family and is native mainly to Europe and Asia. They have around 300 species of flowering plants but most of the species are harbeculaous.
Dianthus are hardy annual, biennial, or perennial dependent varieties and are most often used for pottery display.

The plant species are commonly called the pinks or sweet william and have a pleasant fragrance with cinnamon or clove.
These species are ideally present in small sizes between 6-8 inches, making them compatible with gardens. They flourish in bright colors such as pink, salmon, red, and white hues.
The foliage is thin and sparsely spread on thick stems. The modern varieties of this plant bloom between May to October.
Black-Eyed Susans
Black-Eyed Susans (Rudbeckia hirta) are a North American flowering plant in the sunflower family. These plant species are hardy annual, biennial, or perennial and often you’ll see them in parks and gardens.

Coral Bells
Coral Bells (Heuchera) are flowering plants with stunning colors.
Not only their flowers but foliages (depends upon variety) are also present in many shades like color-bronze, purple and more.
‘Coral Bells’ name is inspired by their bell-shaped bloom and they are also called alumroot.

The plants bloom from late spring to early winter and prefer zone 3. You’ll find different flower colors ranging from white and pink to light coral and deep red.
Hostas
